Our Mission
The Dolores Tillinghast Memorial Library serves this community by promoting early reading satisfaction to stimulate new interests and self esteem with parents and children working together. The library promotes the use of materials to meet personal, educational, professional, and business needs of local residents as well as vacation and summer residents by providing materials for recreation, leisure, historic, cultural, and civic needs with the help of State of Iowa Libraries Online (SILO). Our library was established for the purpose of providing the resident of the community and surrounding areas with access to books and other resources and services for information, continuing education, and recreation. It seeks to build knowledge, understanding, appreciation, and wisdom to whom it serves.

We are pleased to offer library service to all residents of the City of Harpers Ferry,
